December Solstice

Solstice in December

This is an opportunity to harmonise our rhythms with the solar and lunar cycles and to utilise the powerful incoming energies available for personal and planetary healing on this special day.

The December Solstice will occur at 23:38 (or 11.38pm) GMT/UTC on December 21, 2010. It is also known as the Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the southern hemisphere due to the seasonal differences.

What happens during the December Solstice?

The December solstice occurs when the sun reaches its most southerly declination of -23.5 degrees. In other words, it is when the North Pole is tilted 23.5 degrees away from the sun.

On this date, all places above a latitude of 66.5 degrees north are now in darkness, while locations below a latitude of 66.5 degrees south receive 24 hours of daylight.

The sun is directly overhead on the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere during the December solstice. It also marks the longest day of the year in terms of daylight hours for those living south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Those living or travelling south from the Antarctic Circle towards the South Pole will see the midnight sun during this time of the year.

On the contrary, for an observer in the northern hemisphere, the December solstice marks the day of the year with the least hours of daylight for those living north of the Tropic of Cancer. Those living or traveling north of the Arctic Circle towards the North Pole will not be able to see the sun during this time of the year.

The Solstice was a special time for many ancient cultures, including the Incas, who celebrated a special festival to honor the sun god at the time of the December solstice. In the 16th century ceremonies were banned by the Roman Catholics in their bid to convert the Inca people to Christianity. A local group of Quecia Indians in Cusco, Peru, revived the festival in the 1950s. It is now a major festival that begins in Cusco and proceeds to an ancient amphitheater a few miles away.

Total Lunar Eclipse on 21 December 2010

Global Visibility of the Total Eclipse of the Moon on 2010 December 21

A total lunar eclipse on December 21, 2010, will be the last eclipse of the year. This will be the second of two lunar eclipses in 2010. The last time a total lunar eclipse occurred was on February 21, 2008.

A total lunar eclipse takes place whenever the moon passes right through the Earth’s dark umbral shadow. This can only happen at full moon, which is when the moon has swung directly opposite the sun in our sky, in its monthly orbit of Earth. During this total lunar eclipse, the moon will be totally immersed in Earth’s shadow for 72 minutes. A partial eclipse lasting for nearly the same period of time will precede and follow the total eclipse. The entire eclipse from start to finish will last about 3.5 hours.

This December solstice eclipse is also the northernmost total lunar eclipse for several centuries. There won’t be a total lunar eclipse this far north on the sky’s dome until December 21, 2485.

That’s because this eclipse is happening almost simultaneously with the December solstice – which in 2010 occurs on December 21 – when the sun will be southernmost for this year. Remember, a totally eclipsed full moon has to lie exactly opposite the sun. The winter sun rides low to the south now, as it crosses the sky each day. So this December full moon is far to the north on the sky’s dome.

The global visibility of this lunar eclipse is shown in the diagram above.

An explanation of this diagram can be found here.

See this link for an animation showing the moon's passage through the earth's partial and full shadows in relation to Universal time, or the video clip below.

Where will the eclipse be visible?

The December 21 lunar eclipse will be visible to observers in North America and western South America.

Most of Europe and Africa experience moonset while the eclipse is in progress. Only northern Scandinavians can catch the entire event from Europe. The moon rises in the eclipse for observers in eastern Asia... The moon will be situated in the constellation Taurus, close to the border with Gemini, and near the most northerly point in the moon’s orbit at that time of the year.

When will the eclipse occur?

The eclipse’s total phase lasts for 72 minutes. The penumbral eclipse begins at 05:29:17 GMT/UTC and the partial eclipse starts at 06:32:37 gmt/UTC. The total eclipse begins at 07:40:47 GMT/UTC and the point of the greatest eclipse occurs at 08:16:57 GMT/UTC. The total eclipse ends at 08:53:08 GMT/UTC, followed by the end of the partial eclipse at 10:01:20 GMT/UTC. The penumbral eclipse ends at 11:04:31 GMT/UTC.

The following map shows the areas where the total eclipse will be visible:

Visibility of the total eclipse.

This map shows the position of the Moon (the cross in the centre) at the time of maximum eclipse. The darkened area sees the whole total eclipse; the pink areas to the right see only the beginning; and the blue areas on the left see the end. The moment of maximum eclipse will be visible from the darker pink and blue areas, and the whole of the darkened area.

The Maya Full Moon sacred site attunement for Machu Picchu, Peru

During our healing event, we will also tune in to the 27th Full Moon sacred site attunement of the Grand Maya Itza Council for the ancient Inca (and pre-Inca) sacred site of Machu Picchu in Peru.

The ruins of Machu Picchu are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. While the Inca people erected hundreds of stone structures on the Andean mountain top from the early 1400's, legends, myths and archeological findings indicate that Machu Picchu (meaning 'Old Peak' in the Quechua language) was regarded as a sacred site from a far earlier time.

"Whatever its origins, the Inca turned the site into a small but extraordinary city. Invisible from below and completely self-contained, surrounded by agricultural terraces sufficient to feed the population and watered by natural springs, Machu Picchu seems to have been utilized by the Inca as a secret ceremonial city. Two thousand feet above the rumbling Urubamba river, the cloud shrouded ruins have palaces, baths, temples, storage rooms and some 150 houses, all in a remarkable state of preservation. These structures, carved from the gray granite of the mountain top are wonders of both architectural and aesthetic genius.

"Many of the building blocks weigh 50 tons or more, yet are so precisely sculpted and fitted together with such exactitude that the mortarless joints will not permit the insertion of even a thin knife blade. Massive, multi-sided blocks were precisely fitted together in interlocking patterns in order to withstand the disastrous effects of earth quakes (in an earthquake, the stones on Inca terrace walls lock together, allowing the entire wall to simultaneously flex and cohere).

Detail of stone work at Machu Picchu

"Little is known of the social or religious use of the site during Inca times... One of Machu Picchu's primary functions was that of astronomical observatory. ...There is also an Intihuatana alignment with the December solstice (the summer solstice of the southern hemisphere), when at sunset the sun sinks behind Pumasillo (the Puma's claw), the most sacred mountain of the western Vilcabamba range, but the shrine itself is primarily equinoctial.

"Shamanic legends tell that when a sensitive person touches their forehead to the Intihuatana stone it opens their vision to the spirit world. Intihuatana stones were the supremely sacred objects of the Inca people and were systematically searched for and destroyed by the Spaniards. When the Intihuatana stone was broken at an Inca shrine, the Inca believed that the deities of the place died or departed. The Spaniards never found Machu Picchu, even though they suspected its existence, thus the Intihuatana stone and its resident spirits remain in their original position.

"The mountain top sanctuary fell into disuse and was abandoned some forty years after the Spanish took Cuzco in 1533. It must be noted, however, that Machu Picchu is known to have been a ceremonial site many centuries and even millennia before the Inca developed and already had existing structures that were used for astronomical observations and ceremonial functions..."

The Maya Full Moon attunement for Lubaantun, Belize

The Grand Maya Itza Council will be making a journey in spirit to the sacred site of Lubaantun in the mountainous jungle of Belize on 21 November 2010, the 26th in a sequence of 52 ceremonies leading up to the Full Moon of 28 December, 2012.

This attunement is the 13th in the second of four 13-moon cycles which began on 13 November 2008.

We are asked to join them in sending our collective love and healing to Lubaantun during the full moonrise in our own part of the world.

Mayan Ruins in Belize

A large Mayan population lived in western and southern Belize (formerly known as British Honduras) during the height of the Mayan civilization, and their descendents remain there today, retaining their language and customs. The ruins of many large Mayan cities are scattered throughout the remote jungles all across the country, and while several of these are known, many undoubtedly remain undiscovered.

Lubaantun - "Place of the Fallen Stones"

Lubaantun is the largest Mayan site in southern Belize, and one of the least visited of the major Mayan sites. Located in the far southern reaches of Belize, it is built on a hilltop 200 feet above sea level and surrounded on three sides by two streams which come together at the southern tip of the hill.

“Visitors who climb the steep hill to the ruins of Lubaantun will be rewarded with an enchanting sight. The dense rainforest setting with its beautiful foliage and the unusual style of stonework give this site a visual impact that none other has….”

Lubaantun flourished in the mid-Late Classic period, from 730 to 860 A.D., and archaeologists believe that it was an administrative and ceremonial center.

The site is composed of eleven large structures, five main plazas, and three ball courts.

The mortarless construction method used at this site make it unlike any other known Mayan site, with rounded corners and hand-cut limestone blocks, each one carefully measured and shaped to fit snugly next to each neighbouring block, interlocking with one another like pieces of a puzzle.

The ancient Mayan name of the site is unknown. In the early 1900s Dr. Thomas Gann, an amateur archaeologist, began minor excavations at the site and named it Lubaantun, which means “Place of the Fallen Stones” in modern Mayan dialect.

Some say the reference to “fallen stones” might have come from Gann’s unfortunate habit of dynamiting the tops of pyramids and temples.

The site at Lubaantun where Anna Mitchell-Hedges is said to have found the crystal skull
Lubaantun and the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull

The Mayan legend tells of 13 crystal skulls that would be brought together in the end times in order to avert a man-made catastrophe.

Several "perfect" crystal skulls have been found in parts of Mexico, Central and South America, and their construction defies common logic.

The most famous one is the Mitchell-Hedges Skull, which is considered unique in its extraordinary craftmanship. It was allegedly discovered in 1927 in Lubaantun by the British adventurer, Frederick Mitchell-Hedges, who accompanied Gann on an expedition to the site, together with his adopted daughter, Anna.

According to the story, Anna had found the skull on her 17th birthday in April 1927, but documents later surfaced that indicated that Mitchell-Hedges may have purchased the skull at an auction at Sothebys in London in 1943.

The true origin of the crystal skull remains a mystery to this day, but whether it originated in Lubaantun or not, the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull is regarded as one of the most amazing artifacts ever to have been discovered.

It remained in the possession of Anna (pictured on the right) until her death in 2007, when she left it in the care of Bill Homman who, after working extensively with it for several years, believes that it is a relic from Atlantis.

The Atlantean connection

There is a very interesting interview with Bill at this link. The story he tells of what occurred when it was brought into proximity with the Crystal Orb (recovered from a cavity in an undersea pyramid near the Bahamas in 1970) is intriguing.

Click here for an account of the discovery of the Crystal Orb.

Click here for a transcript of the video. Extract below:
...when we brought the Orb and Skull together for the first time... the Skull turned white and the Orb turned gold….

I was able to get together with them again and when we did it this time, the Skull turned blue and the... It was blue light going all over the ground.

And the next day we’re in this room that had yellow table cloths and yellow walls. And you’re looking at this through the viewfinder on the camera and it was yellow walls and yellow table cloths. And when you took the picture, the Skull turned blue, the table cloths turned blue and the walls turned blue. And we took about 15 pictures and every time it did the same thing….

So, some pretty strong energy that’s involved. When an Atlantean Orb and Atlantean Skull get together it’s a major... I think there was a connection, an old connection.
Like the crystal skull, the crystal sphere bears testimony to a most sophisticated technology, for as experts at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington noted, the technology for cutting quartz stone to the perfection exhibited in the crystal sphere had not been accomplished by our civilization until after 1900.
Extraordinary craftsmanship

It was said that strange dreams about an ancient Indian civilization haunted Anna each time she slept with the skull near her bed.

After the death of her father at the beginning of the 1960s, Anna loaned the skull to scientists for extensive study, and they discovered that the skull, together with the lower jaw, had been cut from one unusually large piece of quartz crystal of a perfect quality not found in that area, with a hardness only slightly less than that of diamond, and that it could only have been cut by diamonds.

The research by Hewlett-Packard in a special laboratory in 1964 revealed that the skull had been made long before the first known civilizations had appeared in that part of America. No microscopic scratches were found on the crystal, that woould have indicated that it had been sculpted with metal instruments, and their best hypothesis for the skull's construction was that it was roughly hewn out with diamonds, and then the detailed work was meticulously done with a gentle solution of silicon sand and water. Assuming it could possibly have been done in this way, the exhausting job would have required man-hours adding up to 300 years to complete.

One of the most surprising discoveries the scientists made was that the Mitchell-Hedges skull was made from ‘piezo-electric’ silicon dioxide quartz, "the exact type used in modern electronics and the original crystal in the first crystal radios owned by our grandmothers.

Piezo-electric quartz was discovered by Pierre and Jacques Curie in the late 1800s and comes from the Greek word meaning ‘to squeeze’, and electrose, meaning ‘to get a charge from’. This shows the skull actually has a positive and negative polarity, just like a battery. It also means that if pressure is applied, it is capable of generating electricity..."

The scientists discovered several other anomalies that deepened the mystery of the skull, and experts concluded that successfully crafting a shape as complex as the Mitchell-Hedges skull was impossible; as one HP researcher is said to have remarked, "The damned thing simply shouldn't be."

When looking at the sum total of skill and knowledge incorporated in the Mitchell-Hedges skull, modern science is stumped as to how to explain it. Author Garvin summarized the findings in these words, "It is virtually impossible today, in the time when men have climbed mountains on the moon, to duplicate this achievement."

Crystallinks provides a more detailed discussion of the unusual phenomena around the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull at this link.

The Maya and the legend and prophecy of the 13 Crystal Skulls

The theme of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls legend is that "at a pivotal time in humanity's history, the 13 crystal skulls will be reunited to awaken a new era - transforming from an old paradigm into a new world."

According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the Maya are preparing for the final Thirteen Crystal Skulls Ceremony. Each skull is said to represent one period of a thousand years in the interval since the last pole shift and each is infused with the knowledge of the millennium in which it is created.

The first skull is said to have been made by the Atlanteans prior to the previous shift. Since then another 12 have allegedly been made by the Maya, who are descendants of post-shift Atlantean priests and peoples.

Although a single crystal skull ceremony has been performed once in every thousand years, the next crystal skull ceremony will be the Thirteen Crystal Skulls Ceremony, to be performed for the first time in 13, 000 years.

Drunvalo says that the Mayans are originally from Atlantis and the Hopi Indians were originally Maya. Some 13,000 years ago, a group of Maya were sent on for a purpose, and this group became the Hopi tribe.

Have a look at the in-depth discussion in Parts 8 and 9 of The Maya of Eternal Time 2012 and Beyond: Drunvalo Melchizedek Webcast (in 14 parts, each of which is about 10 minutes).

The skulls are considered to be a kind of computer in which information and knowledge were recorded by the people who worked with them in ancient times. Great knowledge can thus be derived from the skulls, although it is stated that our present civilization is not ready yet to receive all the information stored in the skulls.

The skulls also contain images of the ages which have passed since their creation. Psychics are able to see past civilizations and events in the skulls, for example the destruction of Atlantis, and the struggle between good and evil forces to take the crystal skulls into their possession.

Patricio Dominguez, the Pueblo Spiritual Advisor quoted in "The Mystery of the Crystal Skulls" by Chris Morton and Ceri Louise Thomas, describes the crystal skulls as “complete depositories of knowledge” and says that each skull “contains a particular specialist area of information - like a living library (each skull is like one volume in a set of encyclopedias). And the people who will in the future be able to “'read”' the crystal skulls will only be able to extract all the knowledge from the skulls once they are all assembled together... Of course, the knowledge that is going to come out from the skulls is quite unimaginable to our current minds. But that it is definitely going to come out at a certain time is already foregone. It has been prophesied. But whether we humans then use that knowledge for good or for our own destruction is really down to our preparations."

More info about the event on 21 November

During the treatment process, we will work with each participant individually and also as part of the group. The participants will be assisting the planetary healing by anchoring the healing energy in their part of the world, and releasing disharmonic energies no longer needed, on an individual and collective level. For those who have never before experienced vibrational healing work, this is the ideal opportunity.

We use a cutting-edge approach known as Synchronization Harmonics, and participation is open on a donation basis to anyone, anywhere in the world. Or you may choose to take advantage of Earth Heal annual membership at a nominal fee, to be included as a participant in group remote events to be held on the Solstices and Equinoxes as well as other significant dates over the next year, and receive a discount on private treatments arranged with Edna Spennato during the year.

Feedback from participants and detailed reports about what came up during the treatment for the group as a whole, and for the collective consciousness on a planetary level, are sent out to all participants after each remote group healing event.

First-time participants should send an e-mail to us at earthheal at gmail dot com by midnight GMT/UT on Saturday 20 November.

This is an opportunity to harmonise with the lunar cycle and the Mayan calendar, and to utilise the powerful incoming energies available for personal and planetary healing on this special day

An extract from our November newsletter:

How to hug a baby correctly

Directions for properly hugging a baby:

1. First, uh, find a baby...

2. Second, be sure that the object you found is indeed a baby by employing classic sniffing techniques....

3. Next, you will need to flatten the baby before actually beginning the hugging process.

4. The 'paw slide'... Simply slide paws around baby and prepare for possible close-up.

5. Finally, if a camera is present, you will need to execute the difficult and patented 'hug, smile, and lean', so as to achieve the best photo quality.

---------------------------

The Earth Heal Clinic will be hosting a distant healing event for all animals around the world this Monday, 4 October, on the Feast of Saint Francis, also known as World Animal Day. The treatment process will be starting at 2 pm local Brazilian time, or 5 pm GMT/Universal Time, and will continue for about 3 hours, ending around 8 pm GMT/Universal Time.

To view the starting time in your part of the world, please go to this link at the World Clock.

All pets and animals everywhere are welcome to join us for this event, either by being sponsored by their owners on a once-off donation basis or via annual membership to Earth Heal. Donations will go directly towards pet food and veterinary fees for animals currently being cared for as part of our rescue efforts in the village of Praia do Frances, Brazil. Homeless animals and animals belonging to disadvantaged people are included on a pro bono basis.

The treatment will be facilitated on the NE coast of Brazil by Edna Spennato, working under guidance from the collective Higher Self of the group. Five surrogates, in Brazil, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Austria and the USA, will anchor incoming healing energy during the treatment process and release energies “no longer needed” on behalf of the participants and the planetary morphic field as a whole.

General Info

During the treatment process, each animal participant will be worked on individually and as part of the group, anchoring the planetary healing energies in their part of the world for the larger collective consciousness of the animal kingdom, releasing disharmonic energy and receiving healing energy on an individual and collective level. We use a cutting-edge distant healing method known as Synchronization Harmonics.

If you would like to have your pet included in this event, please e-mail us their details and pics as soon as possible, and no later than midday GMT Monday, 4 October 2010.

Saint Francis

On October 4, people all over the world will be celebrating the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals. In memory of Francis' love for all creatures, millions of animals are traditionally led by their human caregivers to churches on this day for a special ceremony called the "Blessing of the Animals", where each animal is gently sprinkled with holy water by a monk in a brown robe, offering this prayer:

Blessed are you, Lord God,
maker of all living creatures.
On the fifth and sixth days of creation,
you called forth fish in the sea,
birds in the air, and animals on the land.
You inspired St. Francis to call all animals
his brothers and sisters.
We ask you to bless this animal.
By the power of your love,
enable [him or her] to live according to your plan.
May we always praise you
for all your beauty in creation.
Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen.

If an animal is ailing or sick, this prayer is used:

Heavenly Father,
you created all things for your glory
and made us stewards of this creature.
If it is your will, restore [him or her] to health and strength.
Blessed are you, Lord God,
and holy is your name forever and ever. Amen.

Many stories have been written about Saint Francis’ love for all animals, and it is said that he and his brother monks, staying in a small hovel, once allowed themselves to be displaced by a donkey. He wrote a Canticle of the Creatures, an ode to God's living things: "All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures." And there was testimony in the cause for St. Clare of Assisi's canonization that referred to her little cat!

But perhaps the most amazing tale about his extraordinary ability to communite peacefully with animals comes from the taming of a savage wolf who had been terrorizing the people of Gubbio. It is said that Saint Francis was able to train it to go from door to door begging for food, rather than attacking the villagers, and that the wolf lived this way for two years among the townspeople before dying of old age, and being mourned.Link

The facilitator for the event, Edna, feels a special connection with Saint Francis, because his spirit has assisted her from time to time with group distant healing work and planetary work, for several years, and Edna also received her original Reiki training many years ago from a wonderful Franciscan nun in Cape Town named Rita Baptista.

There is still time to include your animal friends in this event, so please send details and pics of your own pets, as well as homeless animals or animals in difficult situations by midday GMT on Monday, 4 October. All the info is at this link.

Equinox

This is an opportunity to harmonise our rhythms with the solar cycle and to utilise the powerful incoming energies available for personal and planetary healing on this special day.

The September equinox occurs at 03:09 (or 3:09am) GMT/UTC on September 23, 2010. It is also referred to as the autumnal or fall equinox in the northern hemisphere, as well as the spring or vernal equinox in the southern hemisphere.

What happens during the September equinox?

The sun crosses the celestial equator and moves southward during the September equinox, bringing colder weather and less light to the north and warmer weather and more light to the south.

The word “equinox” derives from the Latin words meaning “equal night” and refers to the time when the sun crosses the equator.

According to myth, it was believed that the September equinox is a time of balance when day and night are equal in length and that that by some mystical force eggs can be balanced on their ends on these days. in ancient times, it was also believed that magically it was a good time to enact rituals for protection and security, as well as reflect on successes or failures from the previous months.

Higan, or Higan-e, is a week of Buddhist services observed in Japan during both the September and March equinoxes. Higan means the “other shore” and refers to the spirits of the dead reaching Nirvana after crossing the river of existence. It celebrates the spiritual move from the world of suffering to the world of enlightenment and is a time to remember the dead by visiting, cleaning and decorating their graves and reciting sutras or Buddhist prayers, and offerings of rice balls and sushi.

In China the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is celebrated around the time of the September equinox. This occasion dates back more than 3000 years and occurs at full moon. It celebrates the abundance of the summer's harvest and originated from the ancient tradition of making offerings to the sun in the spring and to the moon in the autumn. It is also a time for families to get together and people often travel long distances to be with their loved ones. There are fire dragon dances in streets decorated with lanterns and filled with the smell of burning incense.

The Maya Full Moon sacred site attunement for Latakia, Syria

During our healing event, we will also tune in to the 24th Full Moon sacred site attunement of the Grand Maya Itza Council for the ancient Mediterranean port town of Latakia in Syria.

The location of Latakia has a long history of occupation. The Phoenician city of Ramitha was located here, known to the Greeks as Leukê Aktê or 'white coast'. Ramitha dates at least to the second millennium BCE and was a part of the kingdom of Ugarit a few miles further north.

The ancient stone ruins of Ugarit or Ras Shamra are only 14Km north of Latakia.

Ugarit, the kingdom that flourished in the Bronze Ages, dates back much further than 3000 BC. In the 2nd Millennium BC, Ugarit was occupied by the Canaanites, also known as the Phoenicians. Ugarit prospered and flourished for a few hundred years, as a center of trade.

It is believed that Ugarit was heavily destroyed by a tidal wave in the 14th century BC, however it was rebuilt and it redeveloped to renew its prosperity.

In the 13th century BC, it strengthened ties and trading links with the Aegean and passed the first alphabet, as we know it, to the Greeks. Around 1200 BC Ugarit was taken over and destroyed by the 'Sea Peoples'.

Devastating earthquakes in 494 and 555 badly damaged Latakia, but it was rebuilt by Justinian before being seized by the invading Arab army in 638. After being captured by the Crusaders in 1097, the town oscillated between Muslim and Christian control for nearly a century, until it was retaken by Saladin in 1188.

The Citadel of Salah Ed-Din, also known as Saladin's Castle is located c. 30 km east of Latakia, in high mountainous terrain, on a ridge between two deep ravines and surrounded by forest.

The castle was built in ancient times, possibly during the Phoenician period (early first millennium BC). The Phoenicians are said to have surrendered it to Alexander the Great about 334 BC. It then fell to the Assyrians, and then the Persians, and the Seleucid kingdom. It became part of the Roman and Byzantine empires, the Islamic dynasties, and played an important role in the Crusader wars. It was mentioned in the Bible in connection with the Apostles.

The Crusader walls were breached by the armies of Muslim leader Salah ed-Din in July 1188, and it is from this victory that the castle takes its present name. In 1260 it fell back into Crusader hands. At this point it was added to the county of Tripoli, and remained so for nearly a century. Another heavy earthquake destroyed most of Latakia in 1287. It was part of the Ottoman Empire for many centuries and then fell under French rule till the early 20th Century.

In modern times, Latakia has become Syria's main port on the Mediterranean coast. In 1973, during the October War (Yom Kippur War), the naval Battle of Latakia between Israel and Syria was fought just offshore from Latakia.

General info about the upcoming Equinox event

During the treatment process, each participant will receive healing on an individual level and as part of the group, and participants will also be anchoring the planetary healing energies in their part of the world, releasing disharmonic energy and receiving healing energy on a collective level.

We use a cutting-edge distant healing method known as Synchronization Harmonics, and for those who have never before experienced distant healing work, this is the ideal opportunity.

After each healing event, feedback and detailed reports about what came up during the treatment process for the group, as well as for the collective consciousness on a planetary level, are mailed to participants.

First-time participants should e-mail us their details and pics as soon as possible, and no later than midnight GMT/UTC on Wednesday, 22 September.

Worldwide Equinox Didgeridoo Meditation - 23 September 2010

Another global event happening on 23 September is the Worldwide Equinox Didgeridoo Meditation, when hundreds of participants will send a wave of harmonic didge sound around the globe at sunset local times. If you play the didge, consider joining in…. here is what everyone is asked to do:

"...On the 23rd September 2010 at your local sunset time simply play your didgeridoo for 45 minutes (does not have to be non-stop) and then sit for 15 minutes in silence. If you cannot play the didj, you can simply listen to some recorded didj music or play some other instrument.

Please meditate on growing global awareness of how important it is for humanity to take care of the land, just as Aboriginal people have done for tens of thousands of years...."
